Licensed for 220 beds, Sovah Health - Martinsville is a full service, acute-care hospital that has been at the heart of Martinsville, Henry County, and the surrounding region since it opened in June 1970. Formerly known as Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County, Martinsville united with Danville Regional Medical Center in 2017 to form Sovah Health - a regional delivery healthcare system with two campuses. Today, the Martinsville campus employs over 700 people, has over 100 physicians and allied health professionals and provides over 22 medical specialties to the community. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency care in the recently renovated Emergency Department as well as comprehensive outpatient services including medical and radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging, occupational medicine, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and advanced wound care.
